- Access is via a secure login page only
- All first-time logins must be authorised by the practice system administrator (PSA)
- Failed logins are notified to the practice manager
- Multiple failed logins will result in an enforced delay (throttling) between subsequent login attempts
- Users can be blocked and full access revoked at any time by the PSA, from within Nova
- Any device that has an internet connection and an internet browser can be used to access the Nova platform
- Data is encrypted in transit, between the data centre and browser.
- Speed & performance are maintained via a gateway server that balances incoming requests and forwards them to multiple application servers
- Live data is stored securely and replicated, in real-time, to an always-available shadow database server
- All data is backed up to an offsite secondary storage provider
- Image & document uploads are stored away from the main data to maintain day-to-day performance
